I haven't used my program very much since Christmas 2015. I had bought several styles to go with it. Am I right to assume that I cannot access any of my additonal purchases or the Smartshow version that I paid for until I pay the upgrade fee?

You can use the purchased templates with any version of the software.

Hi Linda, when your slideshow is ready, you go to the Create tab to convert it to a video file, and choose Create Video Slideshow.
A new window with several options will appear - there, select Create HD video. This will create a standard MP4 video file in the best possible quality.
