Thanks for sharing Elaine!
The video is sooo touching, and I really love your song choice. And your granddaughter is a lovely lady now
On the technical side, the slideshow is very good indeed - reasonable speed (not too fast and not too slow which is crucial), a few collages among single photos, a pinch of effects but not too many... in a word, you showed a lot of good taste here.
I'm not quite sure about one of the transitions (around 2:43) - there's a "photo film" effect, and the next photo appears from above, making the slide with the film fall down. I guess I'd put some simple fade or gradient transition after "photo film", so the filmstrip moves in one direction only, along the slide I mean. And that's the only thing I'd like like to fix I believe. Other than that, great work!

That would be great! As for the way of posting it - do you have an account on YouTube or Vimeo?

If you don't have one, it's very easy to create one. You need to be registered on Google (e.g. have a Gmail email address) to open a YouTube account, and for Vimeo, you can use any email address to sign up.

When you post a video on YouTube, you can make it Public for eveyone to see, or choose Unlisted like this: https://i.imgur.com/LpdT3f7.png - if you choose Unlisted, only people who have a link from you can see your video.

On Vimeo, there are even more privacy settings: https://i.imgur.com/nCrAjz6.png

Do send us a link if you share your slideshow one of these ways.

I just wanted to thank everyone here who has offered me input and assistance in putting together my first slideshow for my granddaughter's Sweet 16 birthday party last Friday. Everyone raved about how professional and unique the slideshow turned out. I was actually quite pleased with it and can't wait for another occasion to create another. The show was presented just after the meal while the cake was being cut and brought to the table, and it was a good transition period where we got everyone's attention.

Thank you again.

Elaine Costa
