Yes, you can select a different background for all slides in the project settings:

Hello all,
I have a project with several slides, is there an "easy" way to create a background ( ie: layer) on all of the slides using the same image file? I know I can open each one up and edit it to do it, but hopefully there is a way to do it all at once.
